We rode on a train

We ran through the park,

We played in the day

He gave me hope when I had none,

His presence was sweet and his cuddles were great,

He was not just my Grandad he was also my mate!

His stories inspired me hearing about his life,

His parents, the war, the post! And his wife.

I love you so much and wish you were here,

Your memories live on they make you feel near.

Thank you Grandad for looking after me,

I loved gardening with you whilst drinking cups of tea.

Ring a ding ding the alarm goes off ...

You snooze it a bit then eventually turn it off.
You climb out of bed and go down for a brew wake up a bit and carry on with what you do.
Work starts at nine and you cant miss the bus ,

you rush about your house grabbing all your stuff.

Your out of the door with ten minutes to spare urmmm..." i have not prayed ? " oh !!..i know 

 " i'll listen to worship on my way there"

GOD

You climed out of bed i watched you make your brew you watched the tv while you woke up but all that time i was watching you.

You got out of the door and listened to hillsong praise me i like it when you listen but what about me ?

I wanted to hear your voice today before you got busy at work and had no time to pray ... i wanted your praise not a recorded voice.

Start the day with me my child it is the best choice.

Throughout my life one thing I can say for sure is that I am most certainly not sheltered or shy to the sinfull life.

Before I came to be my true self in Jesus at 16 when I was saved, I lived a lifestyle that was worth nothing gained nothing except sadness, hate and anger.

I am open about these issues and I believe strongly that some women or men who have been redeemed cling on to their past.

I am a testifier of this.

I let the past be my present and listen to the lies.

The truth is that we are forgiven

I love this scripture this isn’t just about salvation; Jesus wants us free from lies of the devil and our sins having a hold on us.

Myself and my Mother don’t have the greatest of relationships , through the years of tough and painful times , we were actually at a place of peace , Rebekah had lots to do with it , a child can mend lots of things :)
Sadly the other week we were at head ways again , we were all planned into share a meal for her 50th Birthday , we were all excited , I came down a slight dose of chicken pocks 1 week before the event , 2 days before we were to meet ( I was not contagious) I received a txt saying " Sunday off nick has to work" nick is my mums partner who picks us up , I replied saying not a problem my dad will bring Rebekah and I to your house so we can still celebrate your birthday , her reply was " No" so I challenged her as to why she seemed funny and didn’t want to see us , a conversation over the phone was made to which she yelled " JUST GO AWAY , GET LOST" once again I was left sad and hurt and very confused as to why she was being like this. I let her cool off, and chose not to contact her so I had a conversation with her Mum my Nana, who said sorry you cant come on Sunday its because you have the pocks and we don’t want to catch it, I said I was not contagious but they still did not want the risk which I totally understand but what a shame my Mum had to lie and couldn’t tell me the truth.
This past week I will confess I have been filled with sadness, anger and pride. Me - " I am not saying sorry I have nothing to say sorry for, why is she my mum: why do I let her hurt me all the time, its just nit fare!!!!"
In Prayer God gave me peace and challenged me to contact her, I didn’t say sorry but I txt her saying “I love you, and hope you had a great birthday and when your free it would be nice to meet and give you your gifts"
She replied, saying “I LOVE YOU!!! Cant wait to see you”.
I put my pride back where it belongs “IN THE BIN”
Pride is useless but LOVE conquers all things.

Never Forget ...

I and a sister have been reading some familiar scriptures this week and once again fresh of the page was encouragement , truth and power.
Isaiah 52:13-14
13 See, my servant will act wisely[b]
he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.
14 Just as there were many who were appalled at him[c]—
his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being
and his form marred beyond human likeness—

Lets just take a moment to reflect on this image...

Isaiah 53
1 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

" Whoa ! and this is where we stopped , dwell ed prayed and studied. I never read this part like this before , if i am not mistaken this is a prophecy , prophesying how Jesus was before this cross, reference to his life, though their is not much written about his childhood this says he was " A man of suffering , familiar with pain , like one whom PEOPLE HIDE THEIR FACES.

Dare i say this next sentence but according to Isaiah he was despised by many and men presumed he was stricken by God - Isaiah 53:4 - Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.

Oh how i love that God's opinion and mind is always deeper and 100% love than ours can be.
I know many who think upon Christ as a perfect picture and that he is in the way he is and was and still will be , the way he lived and obeyed and lived a sinless life. I can firmly say he was not the Jesus you can see below -Few scars. He was holy yet was led like a lamb to the slaughter.

Isaiah 53:10
Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the LORD makes[g] his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.
11 After he has suffered,
he will see the light of life[h] and be satisfied[i];
by his knowledge[j] my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.

Through out my walk with Christ i want to be honest and confess that maybe only at Easter time i reflect on his sacrifice and salvation i can honestly say with scripture to back me up that my prayer is that i never go a day without THANKING him for my salvation which was paid at a great sorry GREAT price , i often wonder what is was like in heaven that day when he spared his Son in that hour when darkness reigns, Somethings are not for us to know :)

I will leave us with this to back up what i have just said and to encourage us !

Good morning!!!
Been reading Esther this morning got to chapter 2 verses 12 and the spirit spoke through the passages, I want to share with you my thoughts…

Esther 2:12-14,
12 During the year before each young woman's turn to go to King Ahasuerus, the harem regulation required her to receive beauty treatments with oil of myrrh for six months and then with perfumes and cosmetics for [another] six months. 13 When the young woman would go to the king, she was given whatever she requested to take with her from the harem to the palace. 14 She would go in the evening, and in the morning she would return to a second harem under the supervision of Shaashgaz, the king's eunuch in charge of the concubines. (A) She never went to the king again, unless he desired her and summoned her by name. (B)
This made me think allot, the women were given treatments of Oil and myrrh for 6 months and then another six months of perfumes and cosmetics.
The first thing I thought was (I hope none of them had sensitive skin) lol!
What a lot of stress and pressure to go through, being pampered that much for 1 yr in total , they were customed to do this to be fit for their ( king ) , then they would go to the (king) but only if he desired her and SUMMOND her by name.
Instantly this passage came to me Isaiah 43:1 do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
“When we come to the lord we come as we are, maybe we are full of heartache/heartbreak, hate? Loss of a loved one? Denial? Betryal? Lies? Hurt? Sadness? Brokeness?sexual immorillty? the list is never ending.
Our King JESUS Christ commands that when we come to him we should love him, with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
He doesn’t make us drown in perfume for 2 yrs, or let us get rid of all our burdens before we come to worship him.
know that our king is greater!!!
He wants to carry our load, forgive us, love us for whom we are and change us through him while on the journey.
We don’t earn Christianity we choose it; we live to please the king of all kings through love that conquers all.

Trust ???

Since I gave birth to my dear daughter Rebekah May Thorpe on the 11th May 2009 my life has completely changed, (but god has not), my life has got busier and more stressful ha-ha! She is adorable and is everything to me but it is most defiantly that hardest thing I have had to do. Not long after I gave birth I started to be very anxious and paranoid about going out and being at social events. I am currently a sufferer of ANXIETY. It is so liberating to be honest and open and actually admit that now I need healing!!! God does not want us to live our lives in fear, 2 Timothy 1:7 (New King James Version) 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
We will always have challenges in our life and trouble will come (John 16:33) but I WANT to be at a place in my spirit and body where I will fight the troubles and anxiety’s of this world with godly power. GOD is a healer and wants us to have life and live it to the fullest!!! After so much searching, and praying it suddenly hit me!!!! we have to allow him in , we have to let him fully be OUR GOD , OUR ALL , I believe he doesn’t want some of us he wants all of us , we need to trust him and believe him.
I believe in him!!! But I want to BELIEVE him and I aim to be a woman of the truth who fully trusts the GOD OF THE UNIVERSE.
I wanted to encourage you and say if your a Christian then great , do we fully trust and believe , if your not a Christian I want you to realise that we are not perfect just humans who are fallen but we are held up by his mighty cross and grace.
Wanted to share where I am at and be honest, hope this encourages you...
"lord we pray as your sons and daughters , we come to you father , we want to trust you , follow you and obey you , help us want your will for our life not ours , let us be a people who have so must belief it pours out from our hands and touches all who we meet , healing god take our anxieties and give us the strength to take the step of courage and trust you , we thank you father for Jesus our only saviour who is who was and who is to come ! This is based on real events but for privacy the situations have been changed ...

Who are we following ? to myself that is a good question , who are we wanting to please?

umm, good thoughts, i ask is it worth it to just forget GOD for a day and please mankind ?

sometimes to people it seems that the answer should be yes , we live with humans and we have relationships with them " we wouldn't want to offend now would we".

I am really challenged by this , who am i ( HAYLEY ) wanting to please?

GOD never fails to amaze me!!!
I have been studying Isaiah lately and i hear GOD'S voice pouring through the words the prophet wrote down around 739BC.

Verse 5: speaks -" I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God.

I will strengthen you,

though you have not acknowledged me"

Cant we all just do that !!! we except there is GOD and absolutely no other , we believe he strengthens us , but when he tries to do we let him ?

I am so challenged when GOD placed in my heart " you have not acknowledge me". I love the promise that he is strengthening us even though we carry on in our busy day to day lives , but to reap full benefits we must acknowledge him.

Verse 12: Speaks - "It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it.

My own hands stretched out the heavens;

I marshaled their starry hosts."

GOD is capable to do all things for us , verse 12 in itself speaks enough for me !

But what is it what makes us feel so far away from him ? the other day i spoke with a sister and we shared thoughts,

we discussed how we can be on that holy hill sharing fellowship , worship and time in prayer, then we go home and its the ...(" same old") (" same old"),

the TV goes on , we worry about money and plan for work the next day.

I wonder what GOD thinks while we are thinking that? ,

he never sets time aside for us he has all the time ,

but us, do we put time aside for GOD ? its easy to notice the difference from the holy place to when we come back into the fallen world and continue everyday life ,

"which were here to live in and not be a part off."

GOD understands we have to work, but another sister encouraged me the other day and shared that in her busy life she always thinks off GOD through out the day,

and i believe that's what is possible for us to do and also a safe thing to do,

we don't have to be on the holy hill to be in the presence of GOD we can be anywhere.

As much as i say that i highly recommend quiet time within the presence of the Almighty Creator who stretched out the heavens with his hands, I love that ! :).

"There is a girl..."

"There is a girl..."

There is a girl, who knows everything now,
But in her past she didn’t know how
How to believe in an unseen GOD
Who has now gave her courage , wisdom and love!

She was age 13 when life was down
Drinking and dancing just playing around
All alone she felt that no one cared
All she wanted was somebody there,

After 6 months she found home again
Living with her Dad , things didn’t feel the same
They began to feel good , safe and secure
But still she was in need of something more…

Her Dad and Partner planned to be wed,
Also with this, GOD had another plan ahead…
Then the Lord Jesus Christ started to be a part...
“My Lord and Saviour” the girl said in her heart,

Her life changed and she began to see!
She felt the Holy Spirit and finally was free!
“I am saved!! I am saved!!” she started to shout,
And very slowly sorted her life out!

Her life was full of peace and joy
But then one day she met a boy
She fell in love and he took her time
She was so proud “the boy is mine “

Her heart got contained with lust and disaster
But JESUS new what was coming after…

The love started to fade and again she felt sad
She cried out to her JESUS, HER FATHER...HER DAD!


4 weeks later they broke up the girl came to find
A tiny baby inside her womb “oh great the creation of mankind”
The blessing was huge and put her smile on her face
A girl left her body and a women took her place

GOD was the centre the whole term,
Lessons, obedience the women had to learn
Friendships became tight and support poured through
In times of despair they showed her what to do.

After 3 days her blessing was here,
A baby girl was born so special, so dear.
The women went home and a Mother took her place
She was radiant with happiness you could see it in her face,

6 weeks later the baby girl fell ill,
She was sick and lost weight and wouldn’t keep still,
At the hospital they kept the baby in,
“We will need to operate” “To make her better /less thin”,

The worry, the wait all came flooding back,
But this time she surrendered “JESUS would solve that”!
Hundreds prayed and the baby was healed!!
GOD already new she was signed ! she was sealed!


The Mother had back those little tiny feet,
they started new life “now all complete”!.

She has her faith, family and friends…
And praises GOD whose love never ends!

Deciding to follow the LORD Jesus Christ is the beginning of your Christian discipleship।

Jesus Himself demonstrated clear conditions for being his disciples.
Before we focus on the conditions of discipleship, we need to know what it is not!
Discipleship is …
o Not Easy! It is not ‘beds of roses.
o Not the way of constant success and prosperity!
o Not a use of spare free time.
o Not a going to church on Sunday.
o Not a compromise, it is not a license to do whatever you like!

To Start - What do you consider to be true discipleship?

1) Conditions of true discipleship.
PLEASE READ Matthew 16:24-26.
a) What does “Take up your cross mean to you as a Christian?

In Verse 25 Jesus says “25For whoever wants to save his life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.”
b) Do you think as Christians we can still have a good mind set to be successful in life - E.g. - Careers, winning at something we try hard at, gaining lots of money by hard work and being famous?
Jesus wants us to do Good in life he wants us to live it to the full! –
John 10:10 (New International Version) “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

PLEASE READ Galatians 2:20 and then Galatians 5:24
c) So what are the costs of true Christian Discipleship? Reflecting on the Two Passages from Galatians.
2) PLEASE READ Luke 14:26,
a) What exactly do you think JESUS means by everything what is said in this passage?

c) Is it easier to put mankind before GOD?
